This is a running list of 15 real, currently operating farmers markets across the Metroplex, from the year-round Dallas Farmers Market to smaller weekend markets in Coppell, McKinney, Denton, Burleson and beyond. Each one is checked against the market's own site or city page, so the days, hours and address below should be current. Some markets run every week all year; others go on a winter or off-season break, and those are marked clearly below instead of left in the main list.

Burleson Farmers Market

- Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., March through October; once a month November through February

Downtown Burleson's market, with a handful of once-a-month winter dates so it never fully closes. Check their Facebook for the exact winter Saturdays. Official site
Coppell Farmers Market

- Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, weekly April through December; second and fourth Saturdays only January through March

- Year-round (reduced schedule in winter)
One of the area's most dependable markets, set in Old Town Coppell. It keeps running through winter, just less often, so check the date before driving over in January or February. Official site
Dallas Farmers Market (The Shed)

- Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., year-round

The anchor market for DFW, running since 1941. The Shed covers the weekend produce stalls; the rest of the Dallas Farmers Market district around it has restaurants and shops open daily. Official site
White Rock Local Market

A producer-only market east of White Rock Lake, run by the nonprofit Good Local Markets. Every vendor grows or makes what they sell within 150 miles of Dallas. Closed Thanksgiving weekend. Official site
Denton Community Market

- Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., March through December (9 a.m. to noon during summer heat advisories); moves indoors to 321 E. McKinney St. for a smaller winter market in January and late February

Denton's long-running market, with produce, meat and baked-goods vendors plus live music on most Saturdays. Official site
Flower Mound Farmers Market

Runs on Sundays instead of Saturdays, which makes it an easy pairing with lunch along the River Walk. It moved to this location in 2024. Official site
Keller Farmers Market

A Saturday-morning market by the Town Hall fountain, within walking distance of Old Town Keller's shops and restaurants. This is its last month before winter break. Official site
Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market

A smaller market east of downtown Mansfield with farm produce, plants and handmade goods. A holiday market follows in December. Official site
McKinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square

- Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, April through December; 9 a.m. to noon January through March

More than 50 vendors set up on the grounds of a historic village in downtown McKinney, selling produce, meat, eggs and baked goods. Closed the Saturday after Thanksgiving and after Christmas. Official site
Midlothian Farmers Market

Held at Union 28, a live-music venue on the north side of Midlothian. A good pairing with a stop at the venue's taproom. Official site
Plano Farmers Market

A smaller neighborhood market in a west Plano shopping center, between Blue Goose Cantina and Kenny's East Coast Pizza. Easy to fold into a Saturday errand run. Official site
Waxahachie Farmers Market

- Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., first weekend in May through mid-October

- May to mid-October
Ellis County's main market, held in a covered pavilion just south of downtown Waxahachie. There's still time to catch it before it closes for the season in mid-October. Official site
Cowtown Farmers Market

- Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, year-round; Wednesdays, 8 to 11 a.m., added mid-June through late July

Fort Worth's original producer-only market, now based just west of the city in White Settlement after outgrowing its longtime Southwest Boulevard lot. Everything sold has to be grown, raised or made within 150 miles. Official site

These markets are real and worth a repeat visit, but they've closed for the season as of September 30, 2026. Don't drive out expecting vendors; check back when they reopen.
Grapevine Farmers and Artisan Market Closed for the season
- Normal season
- Saturdays, April through mid-September; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in spring, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by late summer
Grapevine's outdoor market sets up in the historic Main Street district, next to the shops and wineries. It wrapped up for the season in mid-September and returns next spring; the indoor Farmers Market of Grapevine a few blocks away stays open year-round if you need produce in the meantime. Rockwall Farmers Market Closed for the season

- Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, May through September
Set right on the downtown square among the shops and restaurants. The 2026 season wrapped up in late September; it returns next May. Official site
Tips for a better farmers market trip
- Go early. The best produce, eggs and baked goods sell out within the first hour or two at most of these markets.
- Bring cash and a bag. Some vendors take cards, but not all, and a reusable bag or small cooler makes the walk back to the car easier.
- Check social media Friday. Several markets, including White Rock and Cowtown, post their vendor lineup the day before on Facebook or Instagram, so you know who's coming.
- Weather can cancel a market. These are outdoor events. A severe storm or extreme heat advisory can shift the hours or cancel a Saturday, so check the market's page before you drive out.
Pair a market run with the rest of your Saturday: pick up something from a local bakery, grab flowers at a florist, browse a nearby gift shop, or get coffee at a local coffee shop before you shop.
