Pumpkin Patches Around Dallas-Fort Worth for 2026

Pumpkin season in North Texas runs from late September to the first weekend of November. Here are six spots worth the drive, from Hall's in Grapevine to a lit-up night walk in Arlington, with 2026 dates and what to bring.
Go early in the season or on a weekday if you can. By mid-October the weekend crowds are thick and the best pumpkins are gone.
Hall's Pumpkin Farm

The city's lakeside pumpkin festival at Meadowmere Park on Grapevine Lake. It only runs ten days, so plan around it. Official site
Autumn at the Arboretum

Not a patch you pick from, but the prettiest pumpkin display in the area: more than 100,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash set up around famous artworks. The sensory-friendly evening is Oct. 20. Official site

Tips for a better pumpkin patch trip
- Wear closed-toe shoes. Patches are dusty, and corn mazes get muddy after rain.
- Bring a wagon. Big pumpkins are heavier than they look, and most farms have a long walk to the car.
- Carry cash. Hall's is cash only, and smaller farms often prefer it.
- Book photos early. For pro family pictures, a local photographer can shoot a golden-hour mini session. October dates go fast.
